Aunt Pauline was a dear and important person to me. A real nurturing soul, she was the peacemaker and gentle spirit who always wanted to make sure everyone was fed, comfortable and doing OK. Even though I live in Miami, she'd call to check on me and plan to take me and my cousins to lunch on my next visit. She genuinely cared and you felt it. I will miss her sweet "mothering."
