My husband and I had been patients of Dr. Baltz since 1975. He provided quality care with compassion. He grew to be a friend. He will be missed. My condolences to his family, and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of a truly wonderful man and physician. Dr. Baltz took very kind and and compassionate care of both of my parents until their deaths. I will forever be indebted to him for his warm and caring handling of both of them.

I also had the privilege of knowing him as a member of the Medical Staff at Baptist Hospital where I was on the administrative staff. His leadership was without equal.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

My father, not one given to hyperbole, once told me "Horace is a good man". The comment, made over 30 years ago, made a big impression on me, which is why I remember it to this day. I took it to mean "good" both personally and professionally. That simple statement was indeed high praise from my father. I was not well acquainted with Horace, but know he took excellent care of many members of my family.

With deepest sympathy,
Helene

Horace Baltz was a master clinician revered by his colleagues for having the highest of ethical standards in our evolving world of medicine gone astray. He loved medicine in an inspiring way obvious to his adoring patients. Most of his patients became close friends. His bedside manner was a virtuoso performance of biting wit and repartee. He will be missed by all who knew him well.

Please except my Heartfelt Condolences. It’s never easy to bury those closest to us. The distance only enhance all the memories, but take comfort from the scriptures. Isaiah 33:2 comes to mind . There Isaiah asks that Jehovah show us favor in times of distress even asking that he become our arm or strength. Always know that we might not understand how hard this is for you, but Jehovah does.
