George David Perrin

G. David Perrin Jr., David, passed away at Saint Margaret’s at Mercy Nursing Home on Monday May 22, 2017 at the age of 87. He was a native of New Orleans with the heart of an old line New Orleanian. He enjoyed finding transections in history that connected the Perrin / de Dgruy families to New Orleans and Europe. He compiled information on the family genealogy and was an avid antique collector. He was a High School graduate of Warren Easton and later completed studies in Interior Design. He worked as a Buyer / Interior Designer at 20th Century Shop on St. Charles until it closed in the late 1980s. He is preceded in death by his 3 siblings Byron David Perrin Sr., Louise (TD) Alix Perrin Brown and Audrey Gaiennie Perrin Kachler. David was never married and had no children but will be missed by his nieces and nephews. The Kachlers: Lorraine (Lori) Gaiennie Kachler Duke, Denise (DeDe) de Gruy Kachler Agnew and Mathew Kacher (deceased). The Browns: James Richard Brown Jr., Thomas Perrin Brown, Christopher William Brown, Marie Alix Brown Kaminski and Michael George Brown. The Perrins: Byron David Perrin Jr. (deceased), Keith Michael Perrin, Rodney George Perrin, Iris Anne Perrin Byron, Erik Paul Perrin and Carl Gregory Perrin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 30, 2017in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. Louis #2 Cemetery. A reception for friends and family will follow in Jacob Schoen & Son’s Iberville Hospitality Room. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in his honor to your favorite charity.
