Dawn Richard Joseph Hunter, native New Orleanian, died on November 17, 2017. He was the beloved eldest son of Evangeline Fell and Richard Hunter, and cherished brother of Jan, David, Lynn, Beth, Jim, and John. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1971 and LSU in 1975 with a major in Broadcast Journalism. He was an award-winning news reporter who worked for various media outlets in Manassus, Virginia, and Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Shreveport, and New Orleans, Louisiana, including WWL and WRNO Radio.  He enjoyed the rigors of news reporting and directing, remaining in town to cover many hurricanes. He will be remembered as caring, generous, and dependable. He was well loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON.
