William Edward Jackson

William (Billy) Edward Jackson passed away on November 4, 2019 surrounded by his close family. He was born on November 24, 1940 in Tallahassee, FL. Billy is survived by his wife Jo Jena Noto Jackson of 55 years; sons, William Troy (Stacey) Jackson and Joseph Trent (Araceli) Jackson; daughter, Jena Tarelle (Jimmy) Chadwick; sisters, Pamela Jackson and Shirley (Robert) Jones; brother, Robert (Loretta) Jackson; grandsons, Landon Chadwick and Braden Chadwick, and William Jackson and Luke Jackson; and grand stepsons James Chadwick and Stefano Trabucco. Billy is a graduate of Pensacola (FL) High School where he was a star athlete and was awarded the Florida High School Player of the Year Award. Billy’s football jersey was eventually retired by Pensacola High School in 2009. After high school, Billy attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship and played for the Bulldogs. He proudly served with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Billy was the owner/ operator of his own business, an automotive parts distributor. He loved to watch sports, especially if his beloved Bulldogs were playing. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the wake on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Jacob Schoenberg and Son Funeral Home at 3827 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119 from 10am to 12pm. The funeral will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park at 4045 North St., Baton Rouge, LA 70802.
