Walter Charles Hebbler Jr.

Walter Charles Hebbler, Jr., a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of River Ridge, LA, passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of the late Betty Goodman Hebbler. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Clifford; his parents, Walter Hebbler Sr. and Louise Castay Hebbler; his brother, George Hebbler; and his sister, Dottie Lucas. He is survived by four children and their spouses: Steve Hebbler (Laura), Joyce Hebbler Boudreaux (Gerard), Carol Hebbler Clifford (Edward), and Raymond Hebbler (Janis); seven grandchildren: David Hebbler (Marie), Philip Hebbler (Deanna), Jimmy Baum (Mary), Brandie Boudreaux, Amanda Boudreaux Guimbellot (Eric), Laura Hebbler Gerace (Bryan), and Christina Hebbler; eight great grandchildren: Josey Spezzafero Baum, Dominick Baum, Harlie Boudreaux, Jasper Guimbellot, Dorian Guimbellot, Zachary Gerace, Bailee Hebbler and Will Hebbler. Mr. Hebbler served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 through 1946 and was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge, LA on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11:30am. Visitation will be at St. Matthew the Apostle Church preceding the Mass from 10:30am to 11:30am. Private interment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
