Virginia Kinchen Simonds, born 12/27/1936 died Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was 85.  Mrs. Simonds, a native of Springfield, LA but lived in New Orleans for over 60 years.  Preceded in death by her husband Ernest A. Simonds. She is survived by her 3 Children; Dana S. Pecoraro, Tricia M. Simonds and Scott E. Simonds and her 5 grandchildren: Tyler Hill, Angelo Pecoraro III, Merritt Pecoraro, Grace Pecoraro and Luke Simonds. She was a loving and dedicated grandmother who spent her retirement days caring for and nurturing her grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25th from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at JACOB SCHOEN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. The Funeral service will follow.  For those who cannot make the service, it will be live-streamed. Interment will follow immediately in Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, LA, 27265 Highway 42, Main St., Springfield, LA 70426.
