Violet Seguin Reuther

Violet Seguin Reuther passed away on July 6, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born on February 17, 1926 in New Orleans to James and Hilda Seguin. She graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School. Violet was married to Louis B. Reuther, Sr. and lived in the Jackson Barracks in New Orleans from 1943 to 1968 where they raised their 4 children. She later moved to Metairie and was a parishioner of St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church. Violet loved reading, playing cards, watching old movies and working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed summers on the Gulf Coast and going to Second Saturday Art Walk in Bay St Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hilda Seguin, her husband Louis B. Reuther, Sr. and her great grandchild Kyla Reuther. She is survived by 4 children, Randall (Charlene), Karen (Scott), Louis (Terry) and Stephen (Karen), 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be private.
