Veronica Lizzette Lopez-Urizar

Veronica L.Urizar, 61of New Orleans, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at University Hospital. She was born Tuesday, July 10,1960 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, daughter of Evelyn Valladares and Antonio Humberto Lopez.
She was a 1979 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. Veronica was a homemaker and retired after more than 20 years of service in the hospitality industry, where she became the the general manager of a hotel. She was a member of her local Catholic Church. Veronica was a tremendously strong woman, who was devoted to her family and children. She was hard working and tenacious and would help anyone no matter the situation. Veronica will be sorely missed by her family and all those she has touched.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years Alfredo A. Pena, a daughter Amber N. Urizar, two brothers, Alejandro Valladares and Jerry Valladares, two sisters, Evelyn L. Mexas and Jacqueline M. Campbell. 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Dominic Church in Mobile, Alabama. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama.
