Teresa Adilia Rockhold-Michaud

   Teresa Rockhold-Michaud, 92, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Mrs. Rockhold-Michaud was born in Managua, Nicaragua and lived in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina for most of her life. Mrs. Rockhold-Michaud’s passion was traveling throughout the world, fine dining, and love for her family. Early in her adult life she served the Lord as a nun in Vermont for fourteen years. Subsequently, she became a teacher before becoming a devoted wife. She is survived by her brother-in-law Sidney T. Waters, her niece Martha Waters Lowe and husband Cyril G. Lowe, Jr. (Cy) of Metairie, nephew Aldo J. Waters and wife Teresa Harris Waters of Ardmore, Oklahoma, nephew Paul M. Waters and grandniece and grandnephews Sydney Lowe and Cyril Lowe, III (Cy) of Metairie, Sam Waters of Enid, Oklahoma, Max Waters of Denver, Colorado and Nick Waters of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mrs. Rockhold-Michaud was preceded in death by her parents Luisa Amanda Naranjo-Roa of Costa Rica and Jose Maria Gomez-Morales of Nicaragua, her first husband Robert H. Rockhold and second husband Eugene J. Michaud, her dear sister Celina Gomez Waters, and her brother Alfredo Gomez-Naranjo of Costa Rica. Visitation will be held for family from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and for friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a Mass and a Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 1, 2022, to which family and friends are invited at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home in New Orleans.
