Takako K. Dendinger from Jefferson, LA passed away at the age of 85 on Friday, October 6, 2017.
She was born on January 16, 1932 in Sapporo, Japan to the late Hana & Chiyoma Kiyokawa.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lech W. Dendinger, and survived by her son
Ronald S. Dendinger (Andree’ Dendinger ), grandson Ryan Dendinger, sister Sachiko Bankston (Marty Bankston ), niece Remie Rabito (Jordan Rabito ), Olivia Rose and Roman James Rabito, and brother Kiyoshi Kiyokawa. Thank you to her caretaker Kiyada Harris and the wonderful people
at “The Landing At Behrman Place “ and many friends that will sadly miss her while lovingly remembering her. She belonged to the Japan Club of New Orleans for many years and was a member of the Japanese Dance Group that performed for many functions throughout the years . She spent her entire working career at Baptist Hospital working 38 years before retiring in 1996. She was a sponsor and host for Japanese University Students over the years. She was a giving, loving, and caring person that touched so many people across the world.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 12:15pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the J. Garic Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be from 11:30 am until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
