Shirley M. Welb

Shirley May Mischler Welb, 95, of Covington, LA, died June 3, 2019 with her family by her side. Shirley was born June 11, 1923, in New Orleans, LA, to John Peter and Pauline Celestine (Gleber) Mischler. She married Henry George Welb on April 28, 1946. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley was an active member of the Gentilly Kayace Ladies Auxiliary and St. James Major Church.
Shirley is survived by her children, Henry (Andrea) Welb and Bernard (Judy) Welb; grandchildren, Rachel (Hunter) Gordon, Julie (Charles) Riley, Michelle Welb and Leslie Welb; and great-grandchildren, William, Georgia and Camille Gordon, Jane and Quinn Riley, Anthony Brocato, Karyssa Eiserloh, and Noah and Madilyn Faust. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry George Welb, sisters Doris Mischler Bordelon Dietrich and Eunice Mischler Jacob, and great-grandson Wyatt Henry Gordon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
