Shirley E. Davis

Shirley Ethel Schubert Davis of New Orleans passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5th, 2018 at 1:45 pm. Age 93 years. She was born on August 21st, 1924 in New Orleans.
Preceded in death by her loving husband John T. Davis Sr., her parents Wilmuth Schubert and Hazel Speiss Schubert, and her sisters Doris S. Prattini, Audrey S. Couvillon, and Erleen S. Merriken.
Loving mother of John T. Davis Jr. (Debby), Gary M. Davis (Belinda), Randy P. Davis and Bruce G. Davis (Angela). Shirley is survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was an avid gardener and loved watching the varied birds that visited her yard. She loved playing with her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings.
She graduated from Francis T. Nichols High School and took several business courses at a business college in New Orleans.
