Sandra Shea McKinney

Sandra Shea McKinney, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at home surrounded by her children on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the age of 80. Born and raised in New Orleans, she devoted herself selflessly to her husband, family and faith. Sandra confidently relocated over 10 times continuously making sure everyone was happy, secure and content. Always keen for beautiful furnishings, once retired, Sandra opened an antique shop, Pretty Pickens, in Jasper, GA where she was very successful and which she truly enjoyed. Sandra is survived by her children, Laura Hughes (husband Michael), Larry McKinney (wife Terry), Mark McKinney, Michael McKinney (wife Kim), Kelly Zelenski (husband Joseph); grandchildren, Ashley Preston (husband Keith), Michael Hughes (wife Erika), Harrison Hughes, Andrea Mickan, Kristen Woodruff (husband Kevin), Michael Davis, Jack McKinney (wife Jessica), Ava Zelenski and Olivia Zelenski; great grandchildren Mallory Woodruff and Marley Woodruff; and brother Michael Shea. Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Loubet L. (Larry) McKinney; parents, Daniel and Ruth Shea; and brother Danny Shea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12:15 P.M. with visitation at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 A.M.
