Sandra Barthel Manfre

Sandra Barthel Manfre, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, died peacefully February 27, 2021 surrounded in love and prayers. She was 79 years old. Sandra was born December 24, 1941 in New Orleans to Josephine (nee Loupe) and Richard Barthel, Jr. Sandra married Roger E. Manfre of New Orleans, Louisiana on May 11, 1963. She was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, Louisiana and Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was active with Ursuline Academy Alumnae of New Orleans, Louisiana. Sandra is survived by her beloved children, Christopher (Jam Chanpen) Manfre and Stacey (Michael) Lawler. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Joseph, Patrick, Dominic, Andrew and Meredith. Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Roger, her son Gregory, her grandsons Matthew and Owen and her brother, Edgar Barthel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
