Samuel Robert David

Samuel “Sammy” Robert David, 25, passed away on December 28, 2018. Sammy was born on November 24, 1993 in Shreveport, LA to Margaret Bethany David. Sammy was a resident of New Orleans. Sammy was a lover of life who spent most of his time exercising thoroughbred racehorses. You would never see Sammy without a smile on his face. Sammy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends He is loved and will be missed by many. Sammy is survived by his mother, Margaret Bethany David; two uncles, Banks David and Bobby David; an aunt, Janine David; cousins, Eric David and wife, Brenda; Shawn David and wife, Carrie. Sammy leaves behind his beloved cousins Riley, Cooper, Camille, and Zachary as well as umerous family members in Florida and Georgia. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sam and Margaret David.
The family will receive friends Friday January 4 at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home of New
Orleans from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) in honor of Sammy David. Contributions may be sent to: https://pdjf.org
