Ruth Chavannes Pitre passed away peacefully on January 4, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved wife to Vallery J. Pitre, Jr. (Val) for 60 years. Mother of the late Wayne J. Pitre. Daughter of the late Sarah Carbone Chavannes and Ernest Chavannes. Sister of the late Dorothy C. Donahoe, Marilyn C. Baratinni, and Carol Horn. Ruth is survived by nephews Terence M. Donahoe (Donna), Kevin P. Donahoe (Katherine), Chris Pitre (Roberta), nieces: Erin Donahoe Druhan (Bob), Patrice (Patti) Baratinni, Amy Pitre Bancroft (Sean) and Amanda Day Pitre. As well as her great nieces Kathryn E. Bancroft, Emily A. Bancroft, and Valerie C. Pitre. Ruth was loved by many close friends and will be missed by all. There will be a night wake on Thursday, January 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at JACOB SCHOEN & SON. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 12:15 pm on Friday, January 12, 2017 at Jacob Schoen & Son. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until Mass time.
