Russell Daniel

Russell Joseph Daniel passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the blessed age
of 93. He was proceeded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years,
Maria Ramos Daniel. Russell was born in New Orleans on November 20, 1927 to the late Melvina and Edward Daniel and has two sisters, Beverly Reeves and the late Doris McGary.

Loving and treasured father of Mark (Donna), Karen Daniel, and Pamela Daniel Exnicios (Jay). Proud grandfather of Laurie Daniel Frey (Augie), Justin Exnicios (Chelsea), Aubrey Brignac (Cody), Elise Exnicios (Grant). Adoring great grandfather of Ariella Frey.

Russell lived in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina. He moved to Mandeville, Louisiana after Katrina. A proud member of the US Navy, Wildlife Carvers, Pioneers of New Orleans Association and Bernadotte Golf Club. Russell always had a deep appreciation for nature as an avid fisherman, hunter, and detailed woodcarver. He will be missed by many for his gentle demeanor and loving smile.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00am, Christian Burial Mass 11:00 am at
J. Garic Schoen Chapel with a private interment following.
