Rosemary F Hanrahan

Rosemary Ferreri Hanrahan passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Andrew N. Hanrahan, Jr. Mother of Andrew N. Hanrahan III (Corinne), William L. Hanrahan, Sr. (Pamela), Gregory C. Hanrahan (Judy), Patricia Hanrahan Park (Jim), Thomas M. Hanrahan (Cindy), and Margaret Hanrahan. Preceded in death by her parents, Rose Conti Ferreri and Joseph J. Ferreri, Sr., brother, Joseph J. Ferreri, Jr. She enjoyed spending time with her thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.She was born in New Orleans on June 5, 1927 and was a Slidell resident for the past 17 years. She was the original director of the St. Marie Goretti CCD school of religion and their summer day camp program. She was the recipient of the Regina Matrum Award which honors a Catholic Mother of the year. Past member of The Altar Society, Pete Fountains Better-Half Wives Club, Slidell Newcomers Club, AARP Chapter 3688 and Summerfield Retirement Community Resident Council. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for the past 17 years. Rosemary had a zest for life and lived every minute to the fullest. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd. Slidell, LA 70458 on Thursday, March 9th. Family visitation will be from 10AM-10:30 and Friends' visitation from 10:30AM-12PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 12PM with interment to follow at St. Patrick No. 2 Cemetery, 5000 Canal St. New Orleans, LA 70119. Arrangements entrusted to Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home.
