Renee Perez Sachs

Renée Elizabeth Perez Sachs passed away from this plane of existence on August 15, 2018. Born July 1, 1944 at Pensacola Naval Air Station, where her father was stationed during World War II. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Rene Perez, Jr. and Elizabeth Anne McGehee, and her son, Stephen Wayne Standley, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Martin Sachs, her son Christopher John Standley, her grandchildren, Katelyn Renée Standley-Mata Parks (Neil), Christopher John Standley, Jr., Jacob Dean Standley, and Tyler Roy Standley. She is also survived by her siblings Anne Inabnett (Joe), Susan Magee (Mac), and John Rene III (Lane), along with nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs. She was a graduate of Louise S. McGehee School and Tulane University. She worked for many years for the Newcomb Dance Program as well as Executive Secretary to Yvette Jones, the Executive Vice President: University Relations and Development. She had an indomitable spirit and love of life. She was fun, beloved by all, and her smile could light up a room. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Burial will be private and a Celebration of Renée’s life will be on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 5524 Garfield Street beginning at noon. JACOB SCHOEN & SON in charge of the arrangements.
