Ouida Pelletteri

Ouida Angelloz Pelletteri, a native of New Orleans, born on February 4th 1926 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday May 27th at the age of 92. She was happily married to Louis M. Pelletteri Sr. for 55 years who preceded her in death. Survived by her sons Louis II (Norma) Marcus (Gina), brother Andre Angelloz, nieces Naomi Moore, Monique Weilbaecher, Ryan Angelloz, Rhonda Lancols, Rickey Angelloz, Gail Howley and many other loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by her five grandchildren Marcus II, Louis III, Megan, Melody, Melinda and one great granddaughter Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her beloved father and mother, Oscar and Florence Angelloz and her sister Ursulie Fumar Leveque. For many years Ouida enjoyed square dancing, ballroom and big band dancing. She continued her association with the 300th Combat Engineers with which her husband Louis served in WWII. They enjoyed going to the reunions in Texas. Ouida was a big fan of visiting Disney World and The 84 Worlds Fair in New Orleans. She enjoyed documenting her family genealogy going back to the city of La Grand Bornand in the region of the Haute Savoie in France. Ouida also took an interest in documenting the Pelletteri family genealogy in Sicily, Italy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Holy, 3368 Esplanade Avenue on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit after 9:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery.
