Omar Alejandro Alegria, III was born July 1, 1981 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Omar Alejandro Alegria and Gloria Marlene Archaga-Garcia. He is survived by his parents; 2 sisters: Tania Marlene and Gloria Esmeralda Alegria; brother: Andy Francisco Garcia; half-brothers: Alejandro Herrera and Josue Alegria; 3 children: Shomari Michelle, Shira Marie and Omar Alejandro Alegria; grandmother: Gloria Ondina Castro; 2 Uncles: Jose Rene Archaga (Mildred) and Oscar Edgardo Archaga (Yavonka): along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. At the age of 38, Omar (Alex) transitioned on December 10, 2019 to be with his Lord and Savior. He will be missed by all who were blessed with his presence and those who loved him. His life will be celebrated on Sunday, December 15, 2019 with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and a prayer service at 12:30 PM at JACOB SCHOEN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3827 Canal Street New Orleans, LA 70119.
