Mitchell Lunetta

Mitchell (Mike) Lunetta died on January 16, 2019.  He was 101 years old..  Son of the Late Maria Plescia Lunetta and Saverio Lunetta.  Brother of Marie Ann Lunetta and the late Fannie L Simpson, Anna Marion Lunetta, Philip Lunetta, Rosalie L Reinach, Rita Lucy Lunetta, Gloria Mae Lunetta, and Frank John Lunetta. Brother in law to Margaret B. Lunetta and the late Frances G. Lunetta, and Benjamin Simpson. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Mr. Lunetta was a lifelong resident of New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina and moved to Plano, TX. and recently returned home. He was a veteran of WWII, serving  in the U.S Army in the European Theater.  He was a retired maintenance worker with the Orleans Parish School Board, and  a former Plant Manager with the Foster Awning Company In New Orleans. Graveside services will be Saturday January 19, at 10 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery 1322 Louisa St.
