Michael Elmer Dufrechou Sr.

Michael Elmer Dufrechou, Sr., a retired CPA, passed away, unexpectedly, on
Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home in River Ridge. He was born October 29,
1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Michael was the son of the late Elmer Mayer
Dufrechou and Delia Pellegrini Dufrechou. He is survived by his sister, Suzanne
D. McCarthy (Edward) and his brother, Don P. Dufrechou of Cordova, TN.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, John L. Dufrechou (Edith).
Michael was the proud father of Michael Dufrechou, Jr. (Amanda) and Adam
Dufrechou and proud grandfather of Ava and Drew. He was a loving uncle to a
host of nieces and nephews.
Michael enjoyed reading, playing his guitar, making others laugh, and was an avid chess player. He was a graduate (the last graduating class) of Cor Jesu High School, Class of 1969, and the University of New Orleans. He will always be remembered as a wonderful brother, loving father and grandfather, and a steadying and helpful influence to family members and invaluable in times of emergency.
Arrangements by Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday, May 22 at 10:15 with a mass following. He will be laid to rest at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery the following Saturday. May 29 at 1:30.
