Michael Bob

Michael Bob, our beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, known to some as "Mike" or simply “Bob" passed away at the age of 62 years.

He was the son of Shirley Bob and the late George Stewart. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Sheila; children: Michelle (Ryan) and Michael; grandchildren: Ryelle, Rylee and Rylan; brothers, George and Jeffery Bob; sister, Dora Saulny; brother-in-laws, Joseph Cohn, Jr. (Marlene) and Donovan Cohn; sister-in-laws, Carmella Smith and Barbara Cohn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was also predeceased by his brother, Clarence Bob.

Michael was a native of New Orleans. He attended John McDonogh Sr. High and Orleans Regional Institute, where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Communication. His professional career included several technical positions in the areas electrical installation, repair and service. His most recent was a committed employee at Lucky Coin Machine Company (for 15+ years). As a youth he was a baseball player with a great fast-ball! He was an avid “Who Dat”, New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed his basketball teams as well.

An “immediate family only” Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021, at 4042 D’hemecourt St, New Orleans, LA 70119 with Reverend Alvin Mulder officiating. Extended family and friends are invited to share “drive-by condolences” to the family from 3:00-4:00pm. Services entrusted to Jacob Schoen & Son.
