Maxine DeWailly Quick, native of Pineville, Louisiana and near lifelong resident of New Orleans, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at age 97. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, William “Bill” Quick; daughter, Patricia Quick Hanzo; grandson, Kevin Hanzo; parents, Mary and Joseph DeWailly; 3 sisters, Anita Molaison, Mary Jo Esteves, and Shirley DeWailly; 2 brothers, Harold and Otis DeWailly; and son-in-law, Jerry Hanzo. Survived by her son, Jerry Quick; daughter-in-law, Linda; daughter, Cindee Quick; 2 great grandchildren, Monica Klaybor and Jessica Hanzo; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Maxine was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 9:45 AM on Saturday, August 13th in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 9 AM. Interment will follow chapel service in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
