Mary Holly Christie

Mary Holly Christie, beloved child of God and devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church, died on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after a brief illness.  Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 17, 1943 to Russell Arnold Christie and Agnes Helen Gordon Christie. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Susan Scott Buckner (Gordon) and her niece, Christie Anna Buckner. 

Mary worked as a secretary to Peter Labouisse at Morgan Stanley for over twenty years. 

She was a longtime friend of Bill W and she loved to laugh.  Her interests were primarily and steadfastly for her Trinity Church family where she worked on many projects and was honored as the Women of Trinity Church Volunteer of the Year in 2018.  Mary served as a Trinity Loaves and Fishes volunteer as well as a member of the Advisory Board. She was a Stephen Minister and a member of the Funeral Committee and the Intercessory Prayer Group.  Mary loved the Trinity Artist Series and never missed a service at Trinity. Actually, she never missed a day at Trinity and shared a laugh and her love with the staff, parishioners and visitors who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130. Arrangements entrusted to Jacob Schoen & Son.
