Marilyn Adele Pinell

Marilyn Drouet Pinell passed into the hands of God on February 26th 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of George J. Pinell. Mother of Steven G. Pinell. Daughter of the late Antoinette Bonaud Drouet and Albert E. Drouet. Sister of Albert M. Drouet, Sr., Patricia D. Gabb, and the late Jacqueline D. Mocklin. Niece of the late Madeleine and Bob Mandala and Alice and Edward Clauss. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. Marilyn was born and raised in the French Quarter and a resident of Metairie for the past 50 years. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy and retired from the Internal Revenue Service. Her joys in life were cooking and caring for all her extended family members. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please practice social distancing and wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred or donations to the Alzheimer’s Associations.
