Marilyn Keller Bulliard, beloved mother and “MaMa” was called home Monday, August 13, 2018 after a long illness. A life-long resident and native of the New Orleans area, she was a proud graduate of the Sacred Heart of Jesus High School as a member of the Class of 1947
Marilyn worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for the Archdiocese of New Orleans School Lunch Program for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. During her tenure, she was honored as the first recipient of the Monsignor Henry Bezou award. She was also recognized for her service and dedication to the Catholic Church with the Order of St. Louis Medal in 1987.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Margaret S. Keller. She is survived by her sons, Guy and Tyronne Bulliard, daughters-in-law, Debbie D. Bulliard and Roni L. Cormier, granddaughters Tara Nickels and husband Curt, Meghan Worthington and husband Phillip, Laura Messer and husband Stewart, Angelique Bulliard and significant other Brad Melancon, Justin Smith and wife Natalie and Lori Alsterberg and husband Justin. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Presley and Cypress Messer, Addyson and Fallyn Nickels, Maddox Melancon, Lily Ryan Worthington and Brayden and Vallie Smith. The family wants to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Metairie Health Care for their compassionate and excellent care given to our mom. Family and friends are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street. Interment will follow in Greenwood cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and continue until Service time. Condolences may be expressed at www.schoenfh.com
