Louise Betty Westcott passed away on June 21, 2021. She was born on March 5, 1931. She was preceded by her husband of sixty years, Gerard “Jerry” Westcott, her father, Fletcher Hugh Warren, mother, Stella Bernadette Simoneaux, and sisters, Dolores Lyles and Helen Skinner. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Cheramie, son-in-law, Carson “Frenchie” Cheramie, and her grandchildren, Jeffery Cheramie (Marisa), and Jon Paul Cheramie (Claire), great grandchildren, Celeste Wesley, Carson Claire Cheramie, Harrison Cheramie, and Hutley Cheramie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty was a resident of New Orleans for over fifty years. After Hurricane Katrina, Betty and her family moved to Pearl River, Louisiana. She was a catholic school elementary teacher for thirty-two years and a member of the Bell Wives for over fifty years, and never missed a meeting. She loved to play cards with her friends and paint items that Jerry and her grandchildren made. It was always a great joy for her to be with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.
