Lois Delhomme Evans, age, 94, born and raised in New Orleans and resident of Pearl River Louisiana for many years, passed away on September 19, in Slidell Louisiana.
Visitation will be held at 2 pm on September 25, 2023 at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on September 25, 2023 at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Brockett of Central St. Matthew UCC officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Mausoleum. Arrangements have been made by Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home.
Lois was born in New Orleans to Lydia and August Toifel on August 6, 1929. She was a child of the Depression, but with hard work, dedication and a steadfast spirit she was able to achieve a meaningful vibrant life.
She graduated from Eleanor McMain High School and Soule’ Business College. She married John D. Evans in 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lois is preceded in death by her beloved parents Lydia and Gus Toifel and beloved husband John D. Evans.
Lois is survived by her son Guy M. Delhomme DDS, her chosen son Rene J. Vaughn, Michelle D’Aquin and Vickie Weeks, her loving friends and travel buddies, and Anne Marie Perret, her close friend and expert hairdresser.
