Kathleen Asher Hubbard

Kathleen “Kathy” Asher Hubbard passed away peacefully on Saturday May 7th at the age of 70 in Baton Rouge. A long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish and graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, she was born on August 16, 1951 to the late Robert Lee and Dorothy Smith Asher.  She was a lung cancer survivor who lived life to the fullest after a pneumonectomy left her with one lung in 1995. 
Kathy is survived by her only daughter Sunny Hubbard Dubois (Robert), the love of her life, her grandson Remy Dubois, ex-husband Holsy “Sonny” S. Hubbard III, step son Holsy “Sonny” S. Hubbard IV (Milisa), granddaughter Allie Hubbard, sister Sharon Asher Johnson (Jesse), nephew Jesse Johnson Jr. (Suzette), niece Judy Johnson Merrill (Aaron), nephew Jeffrey Johnson (Jaime) and many great nieces and nephews who lovingly knew her as “Nenie”. 
A funeral service will be held at 12:15 PM on Friday, May 13, 2022 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. To view and sign the virtual register book, please visit www.schoenfh.com.
