Juliette Cassou LeBlanc

August 15, 1927 ~ January 31, 2021 (age 93)


Juliette Cassou LeBlanc passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the age of 93.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Samuel C. LeBlanc, Sr.  Juliette was the loving mother of Samuel C. LeBlanc, Jr., (Donna), and the late Linette LeBlanc Collins (William).  She was a devoted grandmother to and will be greatly missed by Timothy O. LeBlanc (Denise) and Amy C. Fontenot (Eric); and great-grandmother to William Leonard Fontenot and Jack Lee Fontenot; step grandmother to Chad Murray (Amanda), Joseph Ray (Jennifer) and Scott Ray (Mandy); and step great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.  Juliette is the daughter of the late Joseph Isidore Cassou and the late Olga Gaillard Cassou; and sister of the late Louis Rene Cassou and sister-in-law of the late Ruth St. Amant Cassou.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.  Juliette was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church where she was an active participant in many capacities throughout her lifetime.  She was also active in the Louisiana Extension Homemakers Council. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church or The National WWII Museum would be greatly appreciated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 12:15 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
