Jules Joseph Yambra Jr.

Jules (Jay) Joseph Yambra, Jr., son, brother and friend passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was 59 years old. Jay was a lifelong resident of Metairie, Louisiana. He was born on August 2, 1961 to the late Mr. Jules Joseph Yambra, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Rose Carerra Yambra. He is survived by his twin sister Julanne Yambra Lott (Robert), his brother Dwayne Yambra, his nephews Robert N. Lott, III (Latrisha), Christopher Lott (Cristen), Nichlas Lott and niece Danielle Lott as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jay was an Accountant II of the Central Finance Office in the Accounting Department of Jefferson Parish that works on Parish grants. He served 28+ years and was a member of the Louisiana Government Finance Officers Association. He will be greatly missed by his coworkers. Jay was also a very active member of the New Orleans Lodge #30. He has been the lodge treasurer for the past 6 years and served on various committees. He was a former captain of Elks Krewe of Jeffersonian Parade and enjoyed everything about Mardi Gras! He loved his NFL team the Saints! He was a long time season ticket holder and an avid Saints fan, never missing a game. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home.
