John William Sloan Jr.

John “Jack” William Sloan, Jr. of River Ridge passed away on March 28, 2020 at the age of 91. His beloved wife of more than 60 years, Enola Meighan Sloan, predeceased him in 2011. He is the father of John W. Sloan, III (Janet), Nancy Sloan Stevens (Phillip), and the late Charles Edward Sloan; grandfather of Julia T. Sloan (Travis Dicapo), Jennifer S. Dupepe (Cole), and Katherine S. Stevens (James Cameron); great-grandfather of Keaton Dicapo, Margot Dupepe, and Collette Dupepe. A native of New Orleans, he is the son of the late John W. Sloan, Sr. and Lillian Joyner Sloan.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, May 7, 2021 in the J. Garic Schoen Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M.  Interment in Metairie Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
