John Foye Laplace

John Foye Laplace passed away at Forest Manor Nursing Center in Covington, La. on June  21,  2018 at age 70.  He was born in New Orleans, La. on December 3, 1947 to the late Ethel Foye and Leo Paul Laplace.  He is survived by three siblings:  Sister Joan Laplace, CSJ, Peggy L. Fernandez and husband Philip, and Paul V. Laplace and wife Mary.  He is also survived by six nieces:  Deanne L Gourgues (Dean), Cynthia L. Locicero (Calvin), Jeanne L. Schillace (Felix), Hannan Vey Laplace, Margaret F. Wilson (Herb) and Katherine F. Racine (Robert).  In addition he was the proud great-uncle “Jack” of:  Julia, Emmett, Bonnie and RuthAnne Racine; Calvin and Cale Locicero; Jessica and Stephanie Wilson; and Gillian Gourgues.
John attended Our Lady of the Rosary School and Delgado Trade School.  Although his skills were limited, he was a faithful and responsible employee for McDonald’s and a helper on several Borden’s delivery routes for many years.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 23,  2018 at 12:15 P.M. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home (3827 Canal Street in New Orleans).  Burial to follow in St. Louis Cemetery #3.  In lieu of flowers Masses preferred or donations to the Sisters of St. Joseph (3134 Hundred Oaks Avenue  Baton Rouge, LA  70808).
