John Martin Brennan

John Martin Brennan of New Orleans passed away in New Orleans on August 12, 2022. John was born in Ashland, PA on July 23, 1952 to Ruth and Joseph Brennan. He attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida and the University of Miami. 

John married Jerri Healy July 28, 1973 and together had 3 children, Francesca, Colleen and Jack. John worked as a Senior Database Administrator for more than 40 years. John is survived by his sister Joanne Brennan Whitley, brother Michael Brennan and his beautiful grandkids Elliotte and Truman. He was preceded by his parents, Ruth and Joseph Brennan. 

He was a lifelong Miami Hurricanes & Atlanta Braves fan, a voracious reader and enjoyed tennis and golf with friends but his true love was music. John was a musician at heart and was happiest listening to the recordings of Gram Parsons, Frank Zappa, Ry Cooder, Sarah Vaughn and the Flying Burrito Brothers.

For those who wish, donations are requested for the New Orleans Jazz Museum in Mr Brennan’s name. 

A celebration of life will be held in Miami, FL at a later date.
