Hilda Moran Abele

Hilda Moran Abele passed away July 14, 2022 at Ochsner-Kenner Hospital, with her family at her bedside. She was born October 25, 1940 in Guatemala City, Central America. She later became a U.S. Citizen. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Karl J. Abele. Hilda was the love of his life. Hilda will be greatly missed by her husband, brother, Octavio Adolfo Moran Jr. sisters-in-law, Mary Monette, Linda Long (Mike), and Shirley Broussard, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. She was a devoted Catholic. She originally lived in New Orleans, then later moved to Metairie. Hilda was the daughter of Octavio Aldolfo and Rita Soberanis Moran, both deceased. She received a degree in Interior Design from Delgado Community College. Hilda worked for Pan American Life, Mid La. Gas and Texaco. Hilda and Karl were avid travelers. They traveled to Guatemala every year and to various European Countries each year. They also vacationed in Hawaii, New York City, Florida, California, Tennessee and skied in Colorado and Utah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the J.
