Henry Joseph McCloskey Jr.

Henry Joseph McCloskey Jr., beloved husband of Toni Rolling McCloskey for 44 years, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023 surrounded by his family. Henry, 64, was born in New Orleans to the late Henry and Veronica McCloskey. He was a local small business owner of Zito's Plating Polishing Works. Renowned for his artisan metal and lighting refinishing trade, Henry was a staple of Banks Street for over 35 years. Henry proudly passed the the legacy of Zito's to his son who will continue on in his name. He was a loving father and mentor to Corey and his wife Blake McCloskey; Adored grandfather of Banks McCloskey; Brother of Colleen Taylor; Step son to Jacquelyn McCloskey; Son-in-law of George and Mary Beauvais; Brother-in-law of Larry Rolling and Kim Harper. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. Aside from his love for his work, Henry's true passion in life was his family and his dogs. He will deeply be missed by so many.

Services will be held at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. until Memorial Mass at 2:00 p.m.,with Monsignor Stephen Scott Chemino officiating. 

After the services a Celebration of Life party will be held at Zito's Plating and Polishing Works, 4421 Banks Street , New Orleans, LA 70119 around 3pm.
