Gaynell R. Albarado

February 10, 1964 ~ January 8, 2020 (age 55) 55 Years Old

Tribute

Gaynell “Nellie” Albarado, at the age of 55, departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital of Covington, LA, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Gaynell is a native of New Orleans, LA but was a resident of Folsom, LA for the past 20 years. Gaynell is survived by her loving husband of 18 years Laison Albarado; sons, Brian (Liz) Fabregas and Chad (Tara) Fabregas; sister, Dawn (April) Picou; brother, Keith (Tammy) Romero; and five grandchildren, Collin, Jaxon, George, Noah, and Brody, nephews Keith Jr. and Toye II. She was preceded in death by her parents Toye and Alta Romero. She had a lot to be proud of in life but, she always said her biggest achievement was the birth of her twin sons.

She loved taking road trips with her husband to many different places and new adventures. When it came to music, she had a very broad selection of artists that she loved and shared memories associated with them. Her hobbies were shopping, swimming, crafts, and traveling. She enjoyed many things in life, but the time spent with her family and grandchildren were the things she loved the most.

She loved life in a big way and touched the lives of family, friends, and anyone else who walked her way.  She had a warm and loving spirit with a beautiful sense of humor. She was a very strong and resilient woman, that would fight any adversity that came her way. She was the clear definition of caring for others and unconditional love. Her smile would lighten the darkest skies and easy the hardest days. She will be truly missed by so many family members and friends.
