Gayle Alene Barclay passed away at her home on Sunday December 20, 2020 at the age of 80 with her devoted brother, William (Billy) Barclay, Jr. holding her hand. Gayle, a native of New Orleans was the daughter of the late Orelda Gleason Barclay and William A. Barclay. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Class of ‘58 and the first graduating class of LSUNO, where she was Assistant Librarian for many years. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 5621 Elysian Fields Ave., at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until Mass time. Interment will follow in St. Roch Cemetery #2.
