Francis Wesley James

Francis Wesley James passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021at the age of 77.   Born August 18, 1944 to the late Edison and late Ann Agnes Wesley.  Francis, a life-long resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, spent her career caring for others at Touro Hospital and Chateau De Notre Dame; she was also a private sitter. She was a member of Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral. Her personality and quick wit were her trademark.  Francis was preceded in death by her pride and joy, son Torin Wesley. She was also preceded in death by her siblings:  Jimmy, Antoine, Theresa and Joseph Wesley and Dolores Sheffield; niece, Lisa Campbell; Godson, Rickey Carter. She leaves to mourn her loss: Goddaughter, Jazonda Wesley; devoted friend, Marvin Bentley; one uncle, James Bernard Lewis; five nieces: Ann Sheffield, Charmaine Butler, Zina Wesley, Tywander Gallo and Adonna Wright; three nephews: Allen Sheffield, Sean and Antoine Wesley; and a host of cousins, extended family and friends. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral service at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Visitation starts at 10:00 AM. Interment in Providence Park, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70003 will follow.
