Frances P. Hoffman

Frances Papania Hoffman, a native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at age 85. Beloved wife of the late Frederick John Hoffman Jr. Daughter of the late Joseph Anthony Papania and Catherine Jochum Papania. Mother of Deborah Hoffman Jensen (Jon), Robert G. Hoffman (Rose), Elizabeth Hoffman Rebouche and Suzanne Hoffman Smith (Rhett). Sister of Catherine Papania Guillot and Joseph Anthony Papania Jr. Grandmother of Stephanie, Stephen and Stacey Trainor, Robert Hoffman and Rachel Nieto, Jeffrey, Kayla and Nicholas Rebouche, Katelyn, Madelyn and Rhett Jr., Smith. Great Grandmother of Harper, Jaxson, and Payton Rebouche. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was a devoted Catholic and graduate of Holy Angels, enjoyed working with her family at her parents’ grocery store, “Pap’s” and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially loved her faithful dog, Benji. A special thanks to the wonderful staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Jacob Schoen and Sons Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. until Mass time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Baton Rouge or masses preferred.
