Felix Ruiz

Felix Leon Ruiz, Jr. native of New Orleans, La passed away peacefully at his home in Livingston, Louisiana on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 surrounded by his family. Felix was raised in the Ninth Ward and a graduate of Nicholls High school prior to enlisting into the United States Navy to serve his country. After an honorable discharge, he worked as an operator for British Petroleum where he retired after 28 years.. Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Wanda Henderson Ruiz, two sons, Chad Michael and Todd Eric Reeves and daughter, Ashley Ruiz Kelley married to Joshua Kelley; along with five grandchildren, Chloe and Faith Reeves, Gracee Reeves, Kinley  and Ty Kelley. Preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Chassaniol Ruiz and father Felix Leon Ruiz, Sr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial Mass with Rev. Robert Massett in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home 3827 Canal St. New Orleans, LA 70119 on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until Mass time. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery.
