May 11, 1930 ~ July 29, 2021 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Tribute

Eunice F Trentacosta, better known as "Frank" or "Trent", went to eternal peace on July 29, 2021. He was 91 years old. He is now reunited with his beloved, Leah, having had 67 years of a loving marriage together, they may now rest eternally together. Trent was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Inez Trentacosta of Larose, Louisiana, and in-laws, Joseph and Sophia Buras of New Orleans, Louisiana. Also his two sisters, the late Anna T. Theriot and Marie T. Warnken, and his brother-in-law, the late Norman P. Theriot. Also his beloved son, Frank J. Trentacosta. Trent is survived by his brother-in-law, Shelton Warnken. His children, Becky T. Timothy (Henry), Martha B. Trentacosta, Nadine Dufrene and Jeanine Maxwell (Jeffrey). Other surviving members of his family are his grandchildren, Matthew (Hope), Shanelle (Paul), Georgiana (Robert), Sayde, Sophia (Jonathan), Joseph (Brittany), and Mary (Blake), along with 14 great grandchildren. Trent was no stranger to grieving. having had to bury two sons, the late Frank J. Trentacosta and Steve A. Dufrene, also a grandchild, Eugenie Dufrene. Trent loved his extended family and would have told you that it was his reason for living all those years. He ran a tight ship--he was the captain and we were all his mates. He never met a stranger and had many close friends that he kept in touch with through the years. Trent was a "man of many hats" after being honorably discharged from serving in the Korean War. Trent was employed as an accountant for General Electric for 23 years. After retiring from GE, he started his own accounting/tax service, which he maintained until the age of 90, fully retiring in 2020. Trent knew how to work and provide for his family! To ask Trent what his legacy would be, his response was "his family". Leah was his greatest love. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant everything to him. He loved to talk and he'd tell you about his legacy for hours. Trent was a very proud man, starting off raising a family of six in a one room oyster shack to building a family home in Avondale, Louisiana, where he resided until his death. He built a family camp in Grand Isle for all the family to enjoy and create their own legacy. Trent was always a teaser, his request for his obituary was short and sweet: (EUNICE F. TRENTACOSTA--"I'M DEAD"). He will be greatly missed, but always remembered! There will be a celebration of Trent's life at St. Bonaventure Church in Avondale, LA on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 from 9-10AM. Mass will follow starting at 10AM. Mass will be celebrated by Father Francis Offia (Pastor) and Father Ray Hymel. There will be a gathering at McMann Hall after mass. Cemetery attendance for Trent's burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Mass intentions are preferred.
