Elizabeth Ann Whitman

Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Whitman passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born on June 21, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan. Her family migrated to the New Orleans metropolitan area when she was an infant and she lived there her entire life. She retired from New Orleans Stevedoring.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Stephen DiLorenzo and his wife Priscilla; her grandchildren, Neil R. DiLorenzo and Stephen C. DiLorenzo and his wife Michelle; a great-grandchild, June DiLorenzo; and numerous cousins in Michigan and nieces and nephews locally.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Andrew P. Whitman, Sr. and Elizabeth (Betty) Gratiot Whitman Dourrieu and her brothers Gerald Whitman and Andrew P. Whitman, Jr., S.J.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Baronne Street, New Orleans, on April 23, 2018. Visitation will be held in the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by Mass. Interment will take place at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans.
