Edward Raymond Webb I

January 16, 1934 ~ March 26, 2021 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Tribute

 

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Edward R. Webb, I has passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was a loving husband and father. Known and loved for being a jokester, playing tricks on you would bring him so much joy.  

He was a proud member of the NOLA Fire Department for 16 years and retired as Captain of Engine No. 9.

He was preceded in death by his father Leo F. Webb, mother Josephine M. Webb, brothers and sisters Leo, Josephine, Cyril and Hilary and his daughter Kathrine. He has left behind his wife Mary Webb and his five surviving children Eddie II (Andrea), Rena (Chad), Raymond (Joy), Holly (Don) and Wendy (Mark) and his grandchildren Kim, Kira, Tiffany, Tyler, Christina, Lauren, Amanda, Brooklyn, Eddie III, Charli and Jacob, and great grandchildren Sawyer, Ever, Owen, Weston and Trewitt as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

He will be forever missed by his family and friends who knew him best and who loved him most. We have all been so blessed to have had him in our lives for as long as God allowed him to stay with us.  We are all better people for having known him because he made us all a little stronger, a little wiser and a little smarter and we are all forever grateful.  

Viewing will be at 10:30 AM and the Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, March 29, 2021at Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 and burial will Be in St. Roch No.2 Cemetery, 1725 Music Street, New Orleans, LA 70117. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
