Christopher “Pops” Andersen

July 13, 1955 – May 14, 2021

Christopher “Pops” Allen Andersen, age 65, born in Metairie, Louisiana. Entered into God’s Kingdom on May 14, 2021.  

Son of the late Hampton Andersen, Sr. and Virginia Andersen Cullen. 

Brother of Aubrey Andersen, Jr. (Candace), Sandra Bonck(Raymond), David Andersen (Jennifer), Barbara Lane (Marvin), and Robert Andersen. 

He is survived by his loving wife Kim Andersen.  

Devoted father to Trent Andersen (Holly), Kerry Andersen (Tammy), step-son Mark Turner (Aimee) and step-daughter Lucy Seigel. 

Loving grandfather to 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Chris started Andersen Medical Gas in 2003.  He was a Saints fan since their establishment in 1967. He loved fishing and painting. Chris and Kim were avid bicyclists and a member of the Bon Jeudi bicycle club in Madisonville, LA for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:30 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie, LA.
