Dorothy Herthum Nunez entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Leo J. Nunez, Sr. She is the mother of three sons, Leo J., Jr. (Katherine), Arthur P. (Mary Louise) and Ronald P. (Diana) Nunez. Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is the sister of Elaine Negri, and the late Gene, John, Leona and Betty (Boasso) Herthum. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Celina (Hymel) Herthum. Dorothy lived a full life just shy of 100 years. She had a beautiful handwriting and penned wonderful letters and post cards from her travels. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, crabbing, taking pictures, sewing, going to Mardi Gras parades and collecting doubloons.
