Carolyn “Nubbins” Keegan passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. She is survived by brother Harold Joseph Keegan, Jr. and his wife, Glenda S. Keegan, Loving aunt to nieces, Dawn Perry, Robin Keegan, Erin Caruso, and nephew, Christopher Keegan and their families. Also survived and fondly remembered by her many Keegan cousins. Carolyn was born on March 7, 1945 in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina when she moved to Metairie, LA. She is preceded in her death by her parents, Harold Joseph Keegan, Sr. and Carolyn Rusche Keegan. Carolyn was a home health aide with Home Instead Senior Care and a proud member of Celebration Church. Carolyn was a gracious and loving member of many communities and caretaker of all of the animals she met. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues and all of those whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation to be held at Celebration Church, 2001 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 8:30AM – 9:30AM, service following. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Mausoleum, Metairie, LA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Celebration Church (www.celebrationchurch.org) or the Zeus’ Rescues, 2520 Napoleon Ave., New Orleans, LA 70115 (www.zeusrerscues.org/donate) or an animal rescue in their hometown in her memory and please give their pets hugs for her.
